PIERCE COUNTY DEMOCRATS ENDORSE BRYAN
Updated: Jul 30
Chushcoff is “better qualified . . . with a strong record of performance.”
The Pierce County Democrats have announced they endorse the re-election of Judge Bryan Chushcoff to Superior Court. The decision follows a meeting last Thursday and balloting over the weekend of its voting membership who attended the meeting. It also comes after consideration of its Endorsement Committee’s recommendation of Judge Chushcoff at the meeting.
The Endorsement Committee considered written materials as well as an interview with Judge Chushcoff and with his opponent in making its recommendation. Its report stated:
“[t]he committee easily approved a motion to recommend endorsement for Judge Chushcoff. . .. The committee found Judge Chushcoff to … be an able administrator who is better qualified for this trial court position as a sitting judge with a strong record of performance.”
The Pierce County Democrats stated goal in judicial elections is to “endorse well qualified candidates with the education, experience, ability, and temperament to reach just decisions in the individual cases brought before them and who will also seek to make the justice system more understandable, accessible, and equitable for all.”
Upon learning the news, Bryan commented, “I am proud and thankful to have the endorsement of the Pierce County Democrats. It is welcome recognition by an important community voice that I have a record of accomplishment for treating people fairly and competently for more than 23 years as judge. If you want justice, experience matters.”
